Poros of Kefalonia island is one of the most famous villages. Tradition, beautiful beaches, mesmerizing greenery and a laid back lifestyle, far away from the busy rhythms of modern life is what characterizes it at best. Historically it is very important, as it is one of the very first villages of the island to be as the number one travelers destination. Today, the village of Poros is the least touristic destination in the whole island. Visiting it, you’ll enjoy a true Greek lifestyle, meet people full of stories to tell, eat delicious, homemade food in the restaurants of the area drink some coffee or a cup of tea with the locals and enjoy a breath-taking view.

Somewhere in 1990s, when a Dionysis Simotas with his younger sisters and family, decided to build one of the first hostels in Kefalonia. It used to be number one in peoples’ choice and was always full of life.

Since that time the hostel needed some change over the years. So later on a great renovation took place. Never lost its popularity and only developed. So now we have Villa Simotas and apartments. True comfort and beautiful surroundings. Being a guest here, is like being at home with all possible amenities than anyone can imagine.
